The sun has risen in Lokichoggio. On the main street one can see many abandoned shops which closed down once NGO's left. When peace came to Sudan many people either moved their NGO to Sudan or went to the home country. Loki reminds me of he steel mill towns in the north (like Aliquippa) before the mills closed.
This is a very depressed area. Can you imagine the negative impact for the poorest of the poor here? Pastors and many are struggling.
I did have a delightful time today at the Lopiding Church. We prayed together and had lots of laughter. They allowed me to visit several homes and I have a lot of wonderful photos to share when I get home. They showered me with gifts!
